I’m sending SOTSS Salutes to Howard and my dad.

My dad has always been the primary influence of “positive thinking” in my life and I can’t thank him enough for the past, present and future lessons. They have shaped my life in so many ways and I am forever grateful.

Howard’s strength and motivation is priceless. I’ve never known someone that can put such a positive spin on any situation, like my husband. When I feel like I’m facing a bad situation, he can always find the silver lining. He’s my rock and I’m so grateful for his love, understanding and constant motivation. Howie-xxx ooo!

I am grateful for the things in my life that make it MY life. I am grateful for my husband, Richard, who adores me. I love that about him! He is a natural born optimist and manifester and has taught me to visualize good things and expect them to happen and not worry so much.

I am grateful for my parents and my family. We are closer now than ever. They taught me that you don’t have to be perfect to feel special and loved.

I am especially grateful for the generosity of the human spirit. We started on this journey knowing nothing about what we were doing. Many people helped us and many more will. Cheers to all of them!

When I am training kayak instructors, I tell my student teachers that saying “oh that’s good” is not valid feedback. Similarly, saying “thanks” should be followed by what you are genuinely thankful for. So I am going to make sure and do better at this.

Mark, I am so grateful for how well we work together as a team. It has not always been easy, but we have learned what works for both of us and I thank you for that. You are truly my partner in life.

Brandon, thank you for being so much fun and smart, but mostly, for continuing to be a dreamer.
